The Bishop of Masaka Diocese John Baptist Kaggwa cautions Ugandans to trust police force. “We have to work together to create and restore the atmosphere of trust and confidence between the police force and the civil society”. The Bishop noted that once the nation has restored trust and confidence in the police force, many problems would be solved. He added that people would cooperate and collaborate with the police force without needing to use force because force would only generate another force.

Bishop John Baptist said this at the opening of the consultative workshop of the police force and the civil society to ensure security, justice and peace in Uganda that was held in April by the John Paul II Justice and Peace Centre; which was held at the end of April in St. Augustine institute in Nsambya.
